This is such an amazing show! This has to be one of the best Jazz shows I have shared in a while. Maybe not as adventurous as the last Herbie Hancock show I shared. It is however just as clean sounding and an awe inspiring performance. I became a fan of Brad Mehldah after hearing him play a solo piano rendition of Nick Drake's "River Man" right after playing an awesome version of the Lennon/McCartney penned "Martha My Dear". There are 3 more great Brad Mehldah shows on the site here.

Can't wait to hear this, especially with your write up. Thanks for all you and Rosebud share, JD!
ReplyDeleteHope you like it Taylor, I listen to Brad Mehldau as much as I listen to Chic Corea, Herbie Hancock and Keith Jarret, all depends on what type of feel I'm looking for at the moment.

After a first listen, I can tell you that it is one of Mr. Mehldau's finest moments to these ears. [And yup, I was hooked on Mehldau by his cover of River Man, too.]
ReplyDeleteMas, mas thanks!
