Opeth is one of my favorite bands. They have gone through some changes in their career musically, like all Progressive Rock/Metal bands do. Some of Opeth's original fans (myself included) dislike the fact that the Death Metal vocals have been completely stricken form the newer music. I however still love the band and have loved every musical change Mikael has taken Opeth's fans on. I mean they still play the old stuff live too so no harm done. The music is still a complex combination of styles.
This CD was given as a promo CD with every copy of Rock Hard Magazine #292-9/2011. The official studio track from Opeth's album Heritage has been removed. So enjoy some free professionally recorded and mixed Progressive Metal. There are 15 more Opeth shows on the site. If you would like more Opeth music click here.
