All The Jazz! Half The Metal! And Speedy Too!!!

Sorry it's been a while since we posted anything but Rosebud and I have been a little busy both on the blog and in our life. First The Blog.

First bit of blog news is We want to drop a line here about our Good Friend at So Many Roads To Ease My Soul. Our Friend Speedy has written a book Ten Rules Of The Road I Learned At My First Concert ...An Ordinary Guy's Life Time Of Live Rock And Roll and it's been published!! Speedy is a great guy and has some awesome stories from his own Rock & Roll Life Experience. I will be putting a more permanent link in the near future but for now...

Order Speedy's Book Ten Rules Of The Road I Learned At My First Concert ...An Ordinary Guy's Life Time Of Live Rock And Roll Here!!

We have new posts from Jean-Luc Ponty, Return To Forever, and The Black Crowes. We have The 2nd Installment of Rosebud's Salute To Her Favorite Singers. This time it's 2 shows from Geoff Tate (freakin' vocal God) and Queensryche. Coming up in that series is shows from Rob Halford (Judas Priest), Paul Rogers, David Bowie, Grace Slick, Freddy Mercury and more. We also have the 1st show from Prog-Rockers Marillion to be posted on the blog.

As for old post that need new links, all of the Jazz links have been fixed so it's time to go through that archive to see if you missed anything. We have also started re-posting links for all Hard Rock and Heavy Metal shows. We are about halfway through that archive so the Metal will all be back soon as well. We are almost done, we have Classic Rock, Prog-Rock, Funk, Soul and R & B shows to re-post but we have a big amount of that mountain of work chopped down.

I had a biopsy recently, which was one year since the cancer diagnosis. The preliminary results show some growth in the tumor and my blood work shows all the bad numbers (PSA etc) have gone up (which explains why I'm so damn tired lately). The past few weeks I have been thinking over all the treatment options that my Doctor has put forward. I will be meeting with him again on the 29th of September to discuss them again at length. Rosebud and I Thank You So Much for letting us share this part of our life journey with you.

In the end what we really want to say is ..there is a lot more free music available from The New JDP and there will be a whole lot more to come...

Don't Forget Requests For Links To Be Fixed Are Always Welcome!!

Thank You All!!

JustDave & Rosebud

    1. Speedy my friend you are the best, you've helped me along a lot in this blog endeavor! I'm more than glad to help promote your book. I have not bought one yet, I want mine autographed by the author! I have been working on a book myself about my time as Just Dave the musician. From my humble teen attempts at it, to Psychosis, my time as a concert promoter for Red Eye Rock Productions Red Eye Rock Fest. So I'll help you out and you can do the same hahah!

    1. You're welcome Seattleite, very much! Thank you very much as well. Rosebud and I wrestled with sharing my cancer story. We decided that sharing it might make someone whose is in the risk category get checked, and if they are found positive in early enough a stage it's a better chance of a positive outcome. I'm at stage 2 right now and it's progressing real slow we are very positive.

  5. Dear JustDave & Rosebud, thank you so much for all you do for us music lovers. I was a follower of the OLD JDP as well as the new, and was honestly thrilled when you reemerged. But I was so saddened to find out why you'd gone away. And if your blogging brings you happiness, that's awesome, because it brings a lot of happiness to others, too. Fight the good fight, Dave.

    1. Thank you Rocker50, I'll take all the positive vibes I can get. As you know attitude is a big part of the fight, you can't give in. The site is a labor of love. It sounds corny to some, but it really make me happy when someone says thank you for a show or leaves some other positive type of comment. I've made some great friends through the site as well. The main rule here is that if I don't listen to the bands music in my personal life I won't post it. The second rule if I won't listen to the recording itself, I won't post it either. So anyway, Thank You once again, I really appreciate it!

Here's To You Remaining Cancer Free!!
