6 Degrees Of Led Zeppelin Post # 17

Hardline was formed in 1991 by the Gioeli brothers. Neil Schon joined the band after the break up of Journey.

Journey was formed by Neil Schon & Greg Rolie after leaving Santana.

When Neil Schon was an up & coming guitarist in the California music scene, 2 very gifted guitarists wanted him in their band. Carlos Santana wanted to add a fuller guitar sound to the live shows, plus give himself a guitar player to play off of, to stretch his abilities.

The other guitar player was non other than Eric Clapton who wanted Neil Schon to join his band Derek & The Dominoes. Neil chose to join Santana.

Eric Clapton of course was guitarist for The Yardbirds before Jimmy Page joined the band.
