Point Blank is a Southern Rock band from Irving, Texas. Formed in 1974, the band enjoyed some success in the 1980's with the albums The Hard Way (1980) and American Exce$$ (1981). Both albums had Album Oriented Rock radio hits in "The Hard Way", "Highway Star" and "Nicole" respectively. The band toured extensively, doing about 200 shows a year. When people talk about Southern Rock in it's hay day's some of the lesser known bands like Point Blank are all but forgotten. I have 4 radio broadcasts from the 1980-1981 era of Point Blank that I will be sharing here on The New JDP as we kick of a celebration of the sounds of Southern Music this month.

The info I have on this one says that it's most likely BBC Rock Hour #229 for the broadcast week of July 19, 1981. The other note is that it was from "the American Express Tour."
