Not sure but I was told this was from Woodstock 1999. I have compared the version of "This One Goes Out To The One I Love (REM)" from Woodstock 1999 posted to Youtube and they are not the same. If any of you Bush fans that download this can tell me where this is from it would be very nice of you...

JustDave Notes:
- I do not know which one plays harmonica.
- Show is encoded to run as the show was presented, if making CDs you will have to chose were to break for CD2.
- From the Capitol Theatre, Port Chester NY soundboard & video dump at Guitars101.com.
- Recording was one untracked mono 24bit/48khz flac file.
- I decoded the file, used Goldwave to convert to 16bit/44,1khz stereo. I used Goldwave's Stereo Center function to boost the left and right side audio using the centr audio. I then indexed the tracks and encoded them to Flac Level 8 with Trader's Little Helper (aligning sector boundaries).
- The show is just John & Lyle on stage with their guitars talking and singing songs.
- The show starts with John Hiatt singing then Lyle Lovett takes a turn and they go back and forth like this til shows end.
- Each singer sings one of his own songs except for Lyle Lovett who sings 3 cover songs.

I own a copy of this CD, it came with a used Frank Zappa Shut Up And Play Your Guitar Box Set that had all the Shut Up And Play Your Guitar releases in it. It was a CD-r copy included in the box in a paper CD-r sleeve with Lost Guitars written in red marker. The reason I did not post mine is because this Captain Acid Remaster is an improvement on the sound, which is very good I might add.
Just like the famous Shut Up And Play Your Guitar series of albums, this disc is made up of guitar solos. Like Shut Up And Play Your Guitar the solos are awesome, and the editing is very good. I recommend this one to any Frank Zappa fan, especially the fanatics.

JustDave's Notes:
- Another tape from my box of tapes. It was at the end of a tape of another band as filler material which is often done by tape traders.
- It's my belief that this is no higher than a second generation tape, the sound is clear with no phasing of channels or drop outs.
Recording Notes:
- Show was performed at the WFMU-FM Studios in New Jersey with this recording being taped off WMFU-FM New York City which was a repeater station for WFMU-FM.
Editing Notes:
- Recording and editing done in 24bit/96khz.
- Besides a fade in at the beginning and a fade out at the end the sound was left untouched.
Other Notes:
- Grindcore can be a mix of many styles of music with Death Metal, Thrash Metal and Hardcore Punk being the constant basic ingredients.
- Dan Liker is Underground Heavy Metal Royalty having been a founding member of Thrash Metal's Anthrax, Crossover Metal's Stormtroopers Of Death, and Thrash/Speed Metal's Nuclear Assault. Dan has also been a member of Pro-Ecology/Pro-Pot Grindcore's Exit-13 and a live member of Thrash Metal's Dark Angel and Digital Grindcore's Agoriphobic Nosebleed.
- Dan being a Metalhead's Metalhead wanted to play all the styles of Heavy Metal he loved.

The Legendary "Mister Soul" Donny Hathaway is another gone way too soon story. Donny got his start in music as a young songwriter, musician producer for Curtis Mayfield's Curtom Records. He work sessions for The Staple Sisters, Jerry Butler, Aretha Franklin and Curtis Mayfield himself. It wasn't long before this bright young star in the making had his own singles out. In his short career Donny released 4 studio albums, one live album and a handful of singles. From those releases Donny received 4 Grammy Nominations winning one. Donny's energetic live shows and sweet voice made him a concert favorite where ever he played. Unfortunately Donny Hathaway started to experience the onset of mental illness during his career peak. Hathaway was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia in 1971. The following years were a roller coaster ride as Donny didn't take his medication regularly. In 1979 while working with Roberta Flack on second album of duets, Donny broke down again. This time his mental state resulted in the sessions being shelved. Some hours after Donny Hathaway was found dead. He had jumped from his 15th floor apartment, he was just 33. Donny Hathaway's music will keep the memory alive of this talented young man. We all should work for a day when stories like Donny Hathaway's have better endings. Mental illness is no joke, nor is it a dirty secret to be swept under the proverbial family rug. If you know someone who needs a hand keep reaching out no matter how many times it takes. If you need help there are many outlets, please, please seek them out...

I ripped the waves with DVD Audio Extractor. I then used Goldwave to raise the volume and add a faed out/fade in at the beginning and end of the show. No EQ or Noise reduction was used. The DVD had lossy audio so I used Traders Little Helper to encode the waves to MP3 320kbps.
justdave's notes on DVD:
I downloaded the MKV file from the net. I then used Nero 2015 Platinum to make chapter, a menu, and encode the MKV to a DVD. Really pleased with how well this DVD turned out.

Another from the Capitol Port Chester, NY dump. This one is with a full band and if you look at the times all the songs are extended a little to allow for soloing. Warren Haynes covers Doris Day, Sly Stone, Stevie Wonder, Steely Dan, works Van Morrison's "Tupelo Honey" into the middle of The Allman Brothers' "Soulshine". Following that with a jam on Robert Johnson's "32-20 Blues" working The Meters' "Fire On The Bayou" into the middle of that. You just have to hear it.

Another one that Speedy at So Many Roads To Ease My Soul was interested in having this one with the tracks split. Can't say I blame him since it's a solo appearance with Warren and a guitar most of the way through. He is joined on a couple songs by a saxophone player. On a couple others members of Railroad Earth.

Pre-Queensrÿche recordings from Geoff Tate & Kelly Gray during their time in Myth. Though considered a progressive rock band these recordings do show a very metallic edge. It was during Geoff's tenure in Myth that Chris Degarmo heard him sing. Chris then invited Geoff to sing on Queensrÿche's EP sessions. Originally a session gig, Chris invited Geoff to join Queensrÿche once he seen how great the recordings went. During the recent split between Queensrÿche and Geoff Tate, the band stated Geoff was never really a fan of metal and was steering the band too far from the genre. These early recordings of songs that Geoff wrote/co-wrote well before joining Queensrÿche, songs that would be cannibalized and re-written for subsequent Queensrÿche albums show distinct metal roots. The tapes due suffer some what from age but are completely listenable & enjoyable. Tate's vocals are immaculate especially on "Scarborough Fair".

I have been a Metal Head since I can remember knowing what Heavy Metal was. When the Heavy Metal Takeover happened in the 1980's I was ecstatic. So much Metal, so little time. I loved the underground music. I knew of bands like Metallica, Slayer, Venom and Motley Crue before most people I knew. Dark Angel was one of many bands I read about in the underground Metal magazines. The reviewer tore their 1st album apart, said it was the worst shit he heard, so I bought it. He said the same thing about Hellhammer's album, and I loved it. I caught these guys a few times live at Blondie's Bar. A Heavy Metal hole in the wall that I hung out at a lot because I played there a lot (too many times). They were awesome, very tight. This recording catches them on tour for their 4th and final studio album Time Does Not Heal. The band would break up while demoing material for their 5th album. The only member of the band to achieve continued success in the Music Business is drummer Gene Hoglan. This is a Remastered and Lossless version of a show we had previously posted in MP4 vbr, so this is a major upgrade for all that downloaded that particular Sly & Robbie Meets Nils Petter Molvær show. If you been around this blog a while you know that I love Nils Petter Molvær's music. Combining Jazz and Electronic Music to spearhead the Future Jazz movement. Other Jazz musicians that helped to pioneer and refine Future Jazz were Dave Douglas & Arild Anderson. All of course personal favorites of mine, each with there own take on the genre. Sly And Robby are a Jazz/Hip-Hop Electronic musicians who when joined with the Nils Petter Molvær Trio make pure magic on stage. The band uses their recorded songs as a blue print to venture of into fresh improvised destinations.

So this post is a re-post and upgrade to this post here. In the original post the the recording was 1 long file and it was MP3 vbr (variable rate). This post is lossless and has also been remastered by TomP. The work was pretty extensive, the result is fabulous. If you downloaded the original you need this upgrade!
Now if you haven't heard Charlie Haden's Liberation Music Orchestra this is the best introduction to the band I could think of. Charlie Haden formed the big band to bring Jazz into the world of protest music. Now it is an instrumental group but the music & titles are supposed to represent the idea. It is some great music and just look at that roster! I mean Dewey Redman, Joe Lovano, Paul Motian, it's really a who's who of brass as well! Look bottom line is that is really some great music!
