I ripped the waves with DVD Audio Extractor. I then used Goldwave to re-edit some track marks. NoEQ or Noise Reduction used. No remixing or remastering done. The DVD had lossy MP3 based audio so I encoded the waves to MP3 320kbps using Trader's Little Helper.
There is a very small version of the DVD art included but it's the best I could find, sorry. I do not count it as including the cover art with the file.
Lamb Of God is one of the heavier bands to come out of the so called New Wave Of American Heavy Metal or NWOAHM. Bands that were tagged with this such as Shadows Fall, God Forbid, All That Remains, Killswitch Engage etc were new American bands playing a version of American Thrash Metal and Metalcore. Lamb Of God mix in a little American Death Metal and some Black Metal elements as well as the Metalcore vibe.

Black Mountain are a Canadian band that plays a fine mix of Psychedelic Rock and Stoner Metal. They always have a nice groove in the music. So they are nice to have on when you are sitting back smoking a couple on a lazy afternoon...

justdave's notes:
I ripped the waves with DVD Audio Extractor. I then used Goldwave to adjust a few track marks and edit out a drop out in the middle of "Sugar Shack". No EQ or Noise reduction was used. No remixing or remastering was done. As I said there was a long drop out in "Sugar Shack". I removed the silence and pasted the 2 parts back together. The DVD was made from a YouTube source so it had lossy audio. The resulting waves were encoded to MP3 320kbps using Trade's Little Helper.
The show runs over an hour and a half so if you want to make a CD you will need to use 2. I edited out a lot of audience noise at the end and have made the show as short as I could with out sacrificing any music. So you will have to decide where to edit CD One & CD Two.
I say this a lot but I believe it to be true, Beth Hart Is One Of The Best Female Vocalists Out Now. If you haven't heard of her you may be new to our blog or it just might be that good ole Bluesy Rock And Roll is not in vogue. If you haven't heard of Beth Hart this is a great place to start. Beth is in fine voice for this show. She spends a lot of time at her keyboard this time out but that is always down to what material she uses for a tour. Beth Hart, who is a recovering addict, always writes some great soul searching lyrics to go with some awesome Blues/Rock Music. She has done quite a bit of work with Joe Banamassa which I would recommend seeking out as well. I guarantee she will become a favorite of yours too.

justdave's notes:
I ripped the waves with DVD Audio Extractor. I then used Goldwave to edit some track marks and add a fade out to the last track. No EQ or Noise Reduction used. No Remixing or Re-mastering done. Even though the DVD listed an LPCM audio as an option the files tested as 100% MPEG-3 so they were encoded to MP3 320kbps using Trader's Little Helper.
Juan Brujo and Fantasma, 2 Latin Americans from Las Angeles California, formed Brujeria complete with a fictitious back story. Every member was said to be a member of a fictitious drug cartel complete with aliases because they were wanted by the FBI. The band was not all Latin Americans, some where from other countries and not Latin either. Members of Faith No More, Dimmu Borgir, Carcass, Napalm Death and especially from Fear Factory. The band plays Industrial Death/Grind and sound similar to Fear Factory's earlier material like the Concrete Demo. Their lyrics are written with tongue firmly planted in the cheek of the writer. The humor may be a little clearer to our Spanish speaking visitors...

justdave's notes:
I ripped the waves with DVD Audio Extractor. I then used Goldwave to edit track marks and raise the volume a little. No EQ or noise reduction was used. No remixing or remastering was done. The "Interview With Bruce (In German)" track starts before the end of "Hungry Heart" and finishes just as "Glory Days" begins, making it hard to remove from this place therefore it remains there. The show was over 2 hours long. I have edited the show to flow like the live presentation. If you want to make a set of CDs you will need to decided where you would want them split. The recording does have it's flaws most noticeable is the audio difference during the long camera shots. These shots have a slightly muffled audio. All in all the tape is a very enjoyable listen and a must have historical document. So far Bruce has not released this recording.
It's Live Bruce Springsteen in East Berlin before the wall came down....what else needs to be said?

My son Spider picks my Avenged Sevenfold bootlegs for me. If he doesn't approve it I don't post it. He introduced me to the band some time ago when The Rev was still alive. He was Facebook friends with The Rev and A7X because of his job at The Palace Of Auburn Hills. Spider is a drummer and was influenced by The Rev's playing. As most of you know I don't usually post a lot of audience recordings. They actually have to be an audience recording that I would want to listen to more than once. That means it has to be a pretty good audience recording before I even keep it. That being said, when I acquired this bootleg I immediately listened to it to see if it was a keeper. It was, I actually have listened to it more than 3 times in the past week since downloading it. The performance is awesome Van Morrison and his snazzy Jazzy band are in fine form. The sound is clear and you can hear all the instruments. The audience noise doesn't get in the way of the listen-ability of this show either. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I have been.

I've always felt Ice-T's Body Count had more in common with Hardcore bands like Minor Threat, Black Flag, and Government Issue. To hear Ice-T say on stage that he was influenced by D.R.I. tells me I was right in that assumption. I remember seeing an interview with Metallica around this time period where the guys noted "..rap as an art form was legitimatized now that Ice-T had a Heavy Metal band." I personally like to think that Rap was legitimatized as an art form when 3 white Punk Rockers from Brooklyn changed their group to a Rap group. That group, The Beastie Boys went on to sell millions.

I was right and now we collect everything by all of Paul Rodgers' bands. When I added this digital download version of Free's Transmission Impossible to our collection Rosebud decided it had to be posted in the next round. So here it is for all fans of Paul Rodgers.

I ripped the waves with DVD Audio Extractor. I then used Goldwave to even out the volume and make track marks. No EQ or noise reduction used. No remastering or remixing done. The DVDs had lossy audio so the waves were converted to MP3 320kbps with Trader's Little Helper.
There is a hum through out the show, most likely from an amplifier. It however does not take away from the enjoy-ability of this uncut performance. There are also a few drop outs along the way, but they don't take away from the over all enjoy-ability of the show either. All Kiss live albums are heavily over dubbed and MTV Unplugged was no exception. This tape is a warts and all recording which to me is more enjoyable. Each DVD run over an hour and twenty minutes. I did not edit the tapes down to make them fit on 2 CDs preferring to keep each DVDs audio as presented. However if you want to burn a CD just place track 23 from CD One as the first track on CD Two and it should burn.
The beginning of the reunion no fan thought they would ever see. The one thing that I find to be kind of funny about this show is who keeps messing up the takes the most. Ace Frehley & Peter Criss were both said to be too unreliable. However the person that keeps messing up the takes the most is Gene Simmons. Pete and Ace are 100% spot on the first take just like Paul Stanley. Gene however seems to be having a bad night. Taking 2 to 3 takes on a few of his self penned tracks. A fan actually shouts from the audience "Gene, what's wrong!" I do like the fact that Kiss included the Gene Simmons solo album track "See You Tonight". Gene's solo album is a little all over the place when it comes to musical styles. "See You Tonight" was one of the songs on his album I really liked, seeming to show a bit more depth in his writing. Something a little more than his normal "I am here for your women" lyrics.

Since there was no cue sheets, label or cover art scans I have included a news article on one of the shows recorded for this broadcast.
My guess is that the single CD boot I have from this tour is from this very broadcast. I remember when Under A Raging Moon came out there was a Radio Version of the song that had a voice over naming the various drummers as they did their short drum solos for the song...wish I could find that version!

Krokus has released it's 2014 Baloise Session on Blue Ray DVD. They have not released the 2019 Baloise Session, which this comes from. This is the complete show as broadcast.
Krokus did this Baloise Session while on their Farewell Tour. Unfortunately for their US fans the tour never hit our shores. Krokus hasn't toured the US in some time since touring is very expensive and their wasn't enough demand for Krokus shows to make a tour financially viable. So this audio rip shall serve as a teaser of what that tour may have been like.

According to my Russian source this audio is from the second day. He assured me, having been at both shows, the presence of clouds in the sky told him it was day 2. Day 1 was a sunny cloudless day.
The sound is not as good as the radio broadcast I have posted on the site but is very listenable and enjoyable. I always respected Cinderella more than most other Hair Metal bands because of their use of Blues Rock in their compositions. With a hint of Blues and Tom Keifer's full on male Janis Joplin singing style set them apart from the rest of the California Metal Sounding bands of the day. Hope you enjoy the show!

A very good sounding recording from the 2023 Leverkusener Jazztage. The legendary John Scofield brings his Trio and his music to the legendary Jazz Festival in Germany. No selling should be needed for my Jazz loving friends to be sold on this one...it should have you at John Scofield!!!!
